Experience

Junior project engineer - Marine department

MPL Techma [February 2023 - August 2023]

  • Assisted the Senior Project Engineer in developing a PLC program for the HMI system on a ship.
  • Independently designed a SCADA system in ICONICS from scratch during the second half of the internship.
  • The SCADA system provided the crew with critical sensor data such as: tank ballast level, engine status and more.
  • Implemented a user management system that controlled data visibility based on user permissions.

Student assistant

PARAL [November 2023 - May 2024]

  • Participated in a startup company during the first and second semesters of my studies at DTU in Denmark to gain experience in applying skills to real-world problems.
  • The startup was developing a device to optimize monitoring and care for chronic heart patients, designed to gather data from a heart sensor and detect the patient's position (walking, running, lying down, or sitting)
  • Initially developed an algorithm to assess the patient's activity (e.g., walking, running, climbing stairs).
  • After two months, became involved in designing the Battery Management System (BMS) for the main board, responsible for detecting overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent conditions and protecting the circuitry from electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. The project was created in EasyEDA.

Hardware projects

6-axis robotic arm

In 2023 I've completed my bachelor in Automation and Robotics at University of Technology in Gdańsk. And for my bachelor thesis I've designed, constructed and programmed robotic arm with six degrees of freedom.

LED cube

During the summer of 2023, I built an LED cube for fun. I used addressable LEDs. The cube has 8 slices, and each vertical slice contains 64 LEDs that can be individually controlled by a microcontroller. The entire cube is powered by an ESP32.

CNC machine

One of my first projects and most rewarding projects was designing and constructing my own CNC machine back in 2019. This project not only introduced me to CAD design, but also became an irrepraceable tool for building other projects. It's still fully operational to this day, although it needs some upgrades to enhance it's precision and performance.

Software projects

Integrated Robotic Arm with Conveyor Vision System

This projects integrates robotic arm with conveyor belt using overhead camera. The primary objective is to develop reliable and efficient code for picking items from the conveyor belt and placing them in a container, providing practical experience in robotics automation for industrial applications. This project is still under development.
